About Us

About Royal Travel

Royal Travel was established in 1994. Starting as a retail travel agency with a staff complement of three, the company has grown to become one of the most respected black-owned travel agencies in South Africa. In 2001, Royal Travel became a franchisee of Sure Travel. Whilst the agency still operates as an independent concern, being part of the Sure Travel group affords us the benefits associated with a larger consortium.

Royal Travel has a healthy mix of leisure and corporate clients, some of which are United Nations, South African Clothing & Textile Workers Union and Unilever SA (for group and incentive travel). Royal Travel also has considerable experience in travel for MICE and sporting events. Royal Travel is a full member of Association of South African Travel Agents (ASATA) and International Air Transport Association (IATA) and currently has offices in Durban and Johannesburg.

Royal Travel was appointed as a Participating Tour Operator (PTO) for the 2010 FIFA World Cup held in South Africa.
